Hi, I’m Lex.

I’m a lactation consultant. That means it’s my job to help people make milk and feed their babies. I support families as they learn how to breast, chest, and bottle-feed; to pump/express milk; and to introduce solids in a way that will teach their babies to love all kinds of food. I help babies and parents to overcome feeding challenges, to grow, and to thrive. I’ve been doing this work since 2005, and I’ve helped hundreds of families to establish and reach their infant-feeding goals. I work with families and babies at all stages of development at the Seven Sisters Midwifery and Community Birth Center in Northampton, MA. You do not need to already be a birth center client in order to book a prenatal or postpartum lactation visit with me. Please call the birth center to schedule an appointment; I almost always have same-day or next-day appointments available. The birth center accepts most private health insurance plans and MassHealth.

I also offer virtual consultations to people all over the world who are either struggling with low milk supply (or have in the past), or who are planning to induce lactation. Offering virtual consultations allows me to advise families who wouldn’t otherwise have access to a lactation consultant with some of my more specialized/niche expertise.
