• The Milkweed Mission Statement •

It all started with a big idea, and this big empty space. And someday soon, Milkweed will be:

• A place for families with new babies to come every day (if needed), in search of companionship, community, support, advice, and/or expert lactation help.

• A place for professionals to offer any number of classes relevant to creating and birthing and growing and raising a family.

• A place where lactation consultants, doulas, childbirth educators, midwives, obstetricians, bodyworkers, and all varieties of people who work with growing families can congregate and collaborate in search of professional community and support.

• A place where people raising children of all ages can socialize and inspire each other and use their minds in new and different ways, a place where parents will sometimes gather without their children to discuss any number of things.
